Dear Janna,
2010 is right around the corner. How did you do on your plans for 2009? Did you meet your goals? Do you write them down so you can really test and measure where you have been this last year? So here are some questions for you:
Fast forward to December 2010
- What have you accomplished?
- How have your profit margins increased?
- How many new clients do you have?
- What is the lifetime average of each client?
- What are your dreams? and what holds you back?
Making 2010 successful comes from a simple formula:
DREAMS X VISION X GOALS X PLANS X ACTIVITIES = SUCCESS
Or
D X V X G X P X A = S
DREAMS - In life and business, dreams are what incite vision and extraordinary innovation and creativity. They must be captured in some detail... possibly in a visual, a written and/or auditory format.
VISION - This is the Big Picture... this is not just a statement or a theme but a story with chapters that you write and build throughout your life... You must be physically, emotionally and spiritually in your vision.
GOALS - Your Biggest Goals in Life and Business must be written in a SMART Goal format so that they are clear to you and others.
PLANS - Daily-Weekly-Monthly-Quarterly-Annual-Long-term-Exit and Forever... that is the level a great plan must be and with a reasonable amount of detail. A great plan is a living document.
ACTIVITIES - Execution, discipline and consistency are the keys to doing the activities to achieve your goals/objectives...
SUCCESS - At the end of the day, you define your SUCCESS in business and in life...
I highly recommend you rate yourself 1-10 in each category.
PERSONAL and BUSINESS - At one point there was a belief that you could separate the two... that you could live two different lives. However the most successful people in the world have learned to blend the two together. You must dedicate specific time to think and plan...You may want to make a quarterly or annual retreat to do your planning with the significant people in your life and business. No matter what this all must start with you.
Now is the time to take Action! Give me a call, let's sit down and make sure 2010 is a success.
