Colorado Springs

Dear Janna,

The question is often asked of me - Who is your ideal client?

Who is YOUR ideal client?

Do you know? Is it documented, so all your team can recognize your ideal customer?

Much of the time businesses paint such a broad picture of their ideal client that the picture is fuzzy, there are too many that fit the profile.  Your ideal client should not have the word "anyone" or "everyone"  in the description.  It should not state "someone who has money."  It should be specific.  The more specific your description, the better the target.  The better your target, the higher quality of your leads and the higher rate of your conversions.  Higher conversion rates mean higher profit.

I have a worksheet of 53 questions to help you figure out your ideal customer.

If you would like a copy - send me an email, I will forward the questions to you.

Next issue I will share who is my ideal client.  Before then - email me who you think is my ideal client.  What are the characteristics?

Tansis

While "dress to impress" is an old saying that fits plenty of situations (hiking no, dinner party yes), it applies to one's home, too! Which is why Tansi's carries a wide selection of handpicked ladies' apparel, accessories, and home furnishings, making it easy for your personal space to reflect your taste and personality in the same way your clothes do.

Tansi's has some of the most chic furniture available in Colorado Springs. With everything from beautifully designed desks, chairs, and living room sets to boutique clothing and fantastic purses and jewelry.  Have you seen my picture on my website, Facebook and LinkedIn?  That fabulous jacket is from Tansi's.

Tansi's is your one-stop shop for everything je ne sais quoi. The same designers and decorators who select the items in their 6800 foot showroom are also available for free one-hour consultations, so if you're looking for that something to perfect a newly decorated room or just need to know what to wear on a special occasion, Tansi's is here to help!  If you're looking for something au courant, you'll find it at Tansi's!

Go and check out what a wonderful boutique experience they have to offer at Cheyenne Plaza on the corner 8th Street and Cheyenne Boulevard, their phone is 719-630-1400.

 Clutch Leadership

A Clutch Player in sports refers to a competent and/or superior player during high-pressure situations. A clutch player is a valuable member of the team who really makes an impact when it counts. It is someone who regularly rises to the occasion when the going gets tough.

There's been some discussion recently about how this concept applies to the business world, through the use of Clutch Leadership. Paul Sullivan of the New York Times, and author of Clutch: Why Some People Excel Under Pressure and Others Don't presented the traits of clutch leaders as focus, discipline, adaptability, being present, fear, and desire. Sullivan also indicated that there are three things organizations or individuals can do to help facilitate clutch leadership.

Focused on a goal: Do you and your employees know what your primary mission is at work? Are you prepared for the responsibilities and risks that are involved?

Continuous improvement: Are you prepared to change things that aren't working, even when change is hard, or requires an admission that your previous ideas are not working? When mistakes happen, do you make the necessary changes to be sure they only happen once?

Practice for success: Are you able to do your job at a high level every day? You have to be able to do your job perfectly under normal conditions before you can expect to do it well under pressure.

Following this advice may not make you as clutch as Michael Jordan, but working on your focus, improvements and practice will help you be ready to succeed when the going gets tough.
