Dear Janna,

The middle of summer is upon us.  Have you maintained your balance;  taken time to relax and enjoyed yourself or taken a vacation?  What about that BBQ with your friends?

My summer time activities have ranged from backpacking and white water rafting to plans for a visit Cheyenne, WY for Frontier days.

If you have not taken time to enjoy the summer, do it now!  Summer will be over and the Fall colors will be here.

Balance

The best business advice given to business owners is to find balance.  Balance - what does balance have to do with running a business?  There are so many things to do and not enough time or energy to do them.  How do you find balance as a business owner?  Let me first ask a question:  Why did you start your business in the first place?  Was it a hobby, a passion?  A desire to have control over your schedule?  A desire to serve?  Whatever your answer, your intent was mostly likely not to work 80 hours per week, not have a good family life,  and not have friends - other than coworkers/team.

Balance is that refreshing time you take each day or week to step away, appreciate the small things in life (health, friendships, family, flowers etc.).   Balance is the time away from Lake Housework to dream.  Balance is time away from the hustle, bustle and demands of the business to plan, evaluate and rejuvenate yourself so your leadership is fresh, rested and not harried.

Balance is making sure your priorities are in the right order.  The reality is, the more balanced you are, the more balanced your business.  You lead by example.  What is your example to your staff, your family, your friends and your business?  Evaluate, reprioritize and rebalance - everyone will thank you for it - including your profitability.

From the Clients Perspective

Testimonial and Company Overview

Global Trade Specialists

by Mike Genung

President

Global Trade Specialists has been in business since 1991. When the economy bottomed out in 2008, my customer's business slowed severely, causing a drop in sales of 50%.

The business environment in the US changed radically in 2008 and 2009, and the sales and marketing techniques my company formerly relied on no longer worked as before. In a recession environment the competition turns fierce; only those who adapt survive.

Janna Hoiberg's coaching has made a profound impact on my business. Under her guidance, my company's core marketing message now differentiates us from the competition. We've fine tuned my approach to selling so time isn't wasted on dead end inquiries, put in place a new sales procedure that will help conversion rates, and new avenues of marketing have been developed that I wouldn't have thought of on my own.

Most importantly, as she walked me through the process of reviewing why I was in business, I rediscovered the spark that had been missing.

Unless you have stacks of money on your desk and can honestly say your business runs like a Swiss watch in every aspect, your company will greatly benefit from Janna Hoiberg's services.

New 'ish Employee
Janet picture
You may be wondering who that other person is who emails or calls you.  You may also be confused.  This person sounds like Janna and her name sounds like Janna but it's not Janna.  Well here's the scoop.

Her name is Janet (not Janna but close enough to keep you on your toes) VanOstenbridge.  Janet is my Business Development Manager. The last 2 1/2 years my roles was both a coach and business development person.  I made the decision earlier this year to leverage my time (practice what I coach) and utilize Janet's skills.

Janet has more than twenty years of business ownership.  Similar to myself, Janet knows what it takes to own a business.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management and is currently working on her MBA.

So the next time you get a call or email from someone whose name starts with Jan, you may want to pay attention.  It could be me or it could be Janet.

Now for YOUR action item:  Touch base with Janet, introduce yourself.  Make her feel welcome and during that introduction give her a name of your favorite business owner that wants more time, more money and the best team around.  Janet can be reached at 719-358-6936 or via  Janet's email.

We trust this information has been valuable to you.  Please share this newsletter with those you know.  Also, please join us for one of our upcoming edutainment events.  We promise you will learn something and have fun in the process.

Sincerely,
